Tindivanam Assembly constituency is located in Tamil Nadu and has witnessed electoral contests mainly between the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), with the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) also present in earlier contests.
In the 2021 Assembly elections, AIADMK candidate P. Arjunan won the seat by securing 87,152 votes. He defeated DMK candidate P. Seethapathy, who secured 77,399 votes. The margin of victory was 9,753 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Tindivanam constituency had a total of 2,21,864 electors, of which 1,75,150 valid votes were polled. DMK candidate P. Seethapathy won the seat with 61,879 votes, narrowly defeating AIADMK candidate S. P. Rajendran, who secured 61,778 votes. The margin of victory was just 101 votes.
In the 2011 Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,88,461 electors and recorded 1,53,169 valid votes. AIADMK candidate D. Haridoss won the seat with 80,553 votes, defeating PMK candidate M. P. Sankar, who secured 65,016 votes. The margin of victory was 15,537 votes.
