Gandarvakkottai Assembly Election Results 2026
Gandarvakkottai is a Reserved (SC) constituency in Pudukkottai district. It was recreated in 2008 following delimitation and has since been a site of competition for the AIADMK, DMK, and CPI(M). In the 2021 Assembly elections, CPI(M)’s M. Chinnadurai won the seat with 69,710 votes, defeating AIADMK’s S. Jayabharathi, who secured 56,989 votes. The margin of victory was 12,721 votes. In the 2016 Assembly elections, AIADMK’s B. Arumugam won the seat with 64,043 votes, defeating DMK’s K. Anbarasan, who received 60,996 votes. The margin of victory stood at 3,047 votes. In the 2011 Assembly elections, AIADMK’s N. Subramanian won the seat with 67,128 votes, defeating DMK’s S. Kavithaigal, who secured 47,429 votes. The margin of victory was 19,699 votes.
