BTSC Lab Assistant Vacancy 2026The vacancy list is quite varied across different technical branches. The largest number of vacancies are provided for Computer Science Engineering & Information Technology at 252 positions. Besides this, candidates need to qualify either a Diploma/BTech/BE degree course in an engineering discipline from a recognized university/institution. As far as eligibility marks are concerned, general/OBC candidates need to score a minimum of 60% marks whereas SC/ST candidates should score minimum 55% marks.Age criteria set by the organization are that minimum age of candidate should be 21 years. Upper age limit of unreserved category candidates is 37 years whereas that of unreserved female/BC/EBC candidates is 40 years and that of SC/ST category candidates is 42 years.Application Fee & Selection Process ExplainedThe application fee will be Rs. 600 for general, backward caste, and Economically Weaker Section candidates, as well as those from other states besides Bihar. Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities having permanent address in Bihar and women candidates irrespective of categories will have to pay Rs. 150 only.Selection Process: It comprises computer-based online test, followed by evaluation of work experience or higher studies, verification of documents, and medical test. The written test shall carry weightage of 75% whereas work experience and higher qualification will carry 25%.
