Tirupattur (Vellore) Assembly constituency is located in the state of Tamil Nadu and has witnessed electoral contests mainly between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), with the presence of parties such as the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK).
In the 2021 Assembly elections, DMK’s A. Nallathambi won the seat by securing 96,522 votes. He defeated PMK’s T. K. Raja, who secured 68,282 votes. The margin of victory stood at 28,240 votes.
Earlier, in the 2016 Assembly elections, Tirupattur had a total of 2,24,938 electors, of which 1,77,843 valid votes were polled. DMK’s A. Nallathambi won the seat with 80,791 votes, defeating AIADMK’s T. T. Kumar, who secured 73,144 votes. The margin of victory was 7,647 votes.
In the 2011 Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,81,888 electors and recorded 1,49,869 valid votes. AIADMK’s K. G. Ramesh won the seat with 82,895 votes, defeating DMK’s S. Rajendran, who secured 61,103 votes. The margin of victory stood at 21,792 votes.
