Mayiladuthurai Assembly Election Results 2026
Mayiladuthurai is the headquarters of its eponymous district. The constituency is urban-centric and has seen varied representation across major alliances. In the 2021 Assembly elections, INC’s S. Rajakumar won the seat with 73,642 votes, defeating PMK’s A. Palanisamy, who secured 70,900 votes. The margin of victory was 2,742 votes. In the 2016 Assembly elections, AIADMK’s V. Rathakrishnan won the seat with 70,949 votes, defeating DMK’s K. Anbazhagan, who received 66,171 votes. The margin of victory was 4,778 votes. In the 2011 Assembly elections, DMK’s S. Rajakumar won the seat with 73,642 votes, defeating AIADMK alliance partner N. Kittu, who secured 64,311 votes. The margin of victory was 9,331 votes.
