Kilvaithinankuppam Assembly constituency, reserved for Scheduled Castes, is located in the state of Tamil Nadu and has witnessed electoral contests primarily between the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
In the 2021 Assembly elections, AIADMK’s M. Jaganmoorthy won the seat by securing 84,579 votes. He defeated DMK’s K. Seetharaman, who secured 73,997 votes. The margin of victory stood at 10,582 votes.
Earlier, in the 2016 Assembly elections, Kilvaithinankuppam had a total of 2,05,533 electors, of which 1,65,226 valid votes were polled. AIADMK’s G. Loganathan won the seat with 75,612 votes, defeating DMK’s V. Amalu, who secured 65,866 votes. The margin of victory was 9,746 votes.
In the 2011 Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,75,992 electors and recorded 1,40,848 valid votes. AIADMK’s C. K. Thamizharasan won the seat with 72,002 votes, defeating DMK’s K. Seetharaman, who secured 62,242 votes. The margin of victory stood at 9,760 votes.
