Jamunamukh Assembly Constituency
Jamunamukh is one of the 126 constituencies of the Assam Legislative Assembly in northeastern India.
It is located in Hojai district and was earlier part of the Nowgong Lok Sabha constituency.
In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 2,21,863 registered voters, with 1,87,182 valid votes cast.
All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) candidate Siraj Uddin Ajmal won the seat with 1,36,902 votes. Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) candidate Sadik Ullah Bhuyan finished second with 18,342 votes, losing by a margin of 1,18,560 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Jamunamukh had 1,82,887 electors, with 1,54,087 valid votes recorded.
AIUDF candidate Abdur Rahim Ajmal won the seat with 65,599 votes, defeating Independent candidate Rejaul Karim Chowdhury, who secured 52,195 votes. The victory margin was 13,404 votes.
