Woman alleges drugging, robbery during e-rickshaw ride

Lucknow: A 50-year-old woman claimed she was rendered unconscious during an e-rickshaw ride and robbed of her gold chain worth around Rs 3.5 lakh.In a complaint lodged at Naka Hindola police station, Sunita Yadav, a resident of Rathkhana Dugawa, said she left KGMU around 3 pm on June 5 and boarded an e-rickshaw for Charbagh. She alleged that a woman, a man and a youth also got into the vehicle and insisted the driver move without picking up more passengers, even offering to pay extra fare.Yadav told police that during the journey, the woman asked the youth for a black polythene bag, which allegedly brushed against her hand, leaving a white substance on her skin. She said she lost consciousness soon after.She regained consciousness around 5 pm under a peepal tree in Arya Nagar, nearly two hours later, and found her gold chain, weighing about 25-30 grams, missing.
