Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay met Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi at 10 Janpath in New Delhi during his three-day visit to the national capital. The meeting comes shortly after two Congress MLAs joined his cabinet, bringing Congress into the Tamil Nadu government for the first time since 1967. Vijay is expected to attend the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and present Tamil Nadu’s development priorities. Sources also indicate a possible meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
