Focus on grievance redressal: DGP to IPS probationers

Lucknow: DGP Rajeev Krishna on Wednesday interacted with 23 IPS probationers of the 2023-24 batch undergoing field training, stressing the need for professional excellence, cyberpolicing skills and effective public grievance redressal.The interaction took place at the police headquarters, where the officers shared feedback from their ongoing 29-week district training. They highlighted exposure to crime control, law and order, cyber investigations, forensic tools, traffic management, VVIP security and implementation of new criminal laws.Addressing the probationers, the DGP said practical training is critical in preparing officers to tackle real-world policing challenges. He emphasised that while ethics remain central, professional competence, legal knowledge and operational skills are key to effective policing. He asked probationers to prepare for challenges such as the implementation of new laws and election duties.
