The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Uttar Pradesh arrested two individuals, Arvind Singh and Mohammad Salim, for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to fraudulently obtain a Rs 25 lakh loan from Allahabad Bank. The accused used forged property documents and impersonation to secure the cash credit, evading arrest for a significant period.

In Kushinagar, a father allegedly murdered his two daughters, aged 20 and 18, with the help of his minor sons in a suspected honour killing. The victims, who had previously eloped, were reportedly attacked with sticks after returning home. The father is absconding, while the sons are detained for questioning.

A tragic road accident in Kolhapur claimed the lives of four members of a Powai family, including two young children, when their two-wheeler collided with a tempo. The tempo overturned into a roadside nullah, crushing the family. The tempo driver fled the scene.
