Sivaganga: The late-night visit of three men claiming to be police officers to the residence of Ajith Kumar, who died in police custody last year, on Tuesday triggered alarm among his family members.A senior police official from the district told TOI that the three police personnel were from Karuppayurani of Madurai district, and they came in search of an accused in a case reported there. The official said those police officials didn’t even know it was Ajith Kumar’s residence.Talking to TOI, Ajith Kumar’s brother Naveen Kumar said around 2.30am, someone knocked on the door. “My mother and I went and saw three police officers asking for someone’s address. They said the address was nearer to our house, and we responded to them, and they left the house. They inquired our neighbours as well,” he said.“In fear, I narrated this incident to our station inspector in the morning. He said there was nothing to worry about, and they just came to inquire about the address of an absconding accused randomly,” Naveen Kumar added.
