Students can apply for CBSE re-evaluation and issue verification via new online portal
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally activated its Class 12 verification and re-evaluation portal after a one-day delay, allowing students to apply for correction of issues in scanned answer books and seek re-evaluation of answers.The facility was originally expected to become operational on June 1, 2026. However, the portal remained inaccessible throughout the day, prompting queries from students awaiting the next stage of the post-result process. On June 2, CBSE issued an official notification confirming that the portal had been made live and applications could now be submitted online.Window open till June 6According to CBSE, the portal will remain open from June 2 to June 6, 2026, until midnight.Only students who have already obtained scanned copies of their evaluated answer books are eligible to use the facility. Candidates are required to log into their accounts through the CBSE website and select either verification of issues in scanned copies, re-evaluation of answers, or both.The Board has also made Aadhaar authentication mandatory for accessing the portal. CBSE clarified that the entire application and payment process will be conducted online, and no offline requests will be accepted.
Students can report multiple issuesUnder the verification facility, students can report issues observed in scanned copies of answer books, including missing pages, missing supplementary sheets, blurred pages, missing maps or graphs, incorrect answer books and evaluation against a different question paper set.CBSE has allowed students to include multiple subjects and multiple issues within a single application. However, only one application for verification will be permitted.The Board has fixed the verification fee at Rs 100 per answer book.Re-evaluation requests also permittedStudents dissatisfied with the evaluation of specific answers may also apply for re-evaluation. Applicants can seek review of one or more questions across different subjects by providing details such as question number and page number.The fee for re-evaluation has been fixed at Rs 25 per question.CBSE has advised students to carefully review all details before clicking the “Freeze and Proceed to Payment” option, as no modifications will be allowed after submission. Only one application for re-evaluation will be accepted from each candidate.The Board said that all requests would be examined and outcomes communicated after completion of the process. A visual guide and video tutorial have also been released to assist students in filing applications through the portal.
