Fake letter case: Police question Sudhakaran’s nephew

Kozhikode: Police have questioned Ajith Kumar, the nephew of senior Congress leader and Kannur MP K Sudhakaran, in connection with a case registered on the complaint by KPCC president Sunny Joseph that a fake letter bearing his name and claiming to have been sent to AICC was circulated on social media ahead of the recently held assembly polls.Police have registered an FIR based on Joseph's complaint. He had approached the Election Commission and the DGP, seeking action under the BNS against those who fabricated and circulated the forged letter.Police recorded Ajith's statement based on the statements from persons who had circulated the letter on social media.The fake letter purportedly addressed to AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge said that Sudhakaran had no chance of winning if fielded in Kannur assembly seat.
