Kanpur: PERF XI outplayed SNK XI by 8 wickets and qualified for the quarterfinals in JNT Under-12 cricket tournament for Sigma Grip lock trophy being played at Kanpur South ground.
SNK XI, deciding to bat first, posted a total of 121 runs. Rakshit Sinha was the highest scorer with 31 runs. For PERF XI, Mayank Tripathi picked 3 wkts and his teammate Ojasvi Yadav & Viraj Dwivedi both captured 2 wkts each.
PERF XI in reply scored 123 runs for the loss of 2 wickets and won the tie.
Opener Vedansh returned unbeaten on 56 while Aviral Singh scored 37 runs. Vansh and Jiyansh both scalped one wkt each.
According to media head Mohd Ahmad Talib, now all knock out matches would be played under flood light. On Thursday if the scheduled two matches could not be played due to bad weather, then the teams having higher points in the points table would qualify for the semi finals. All four quarter finals will be played on June 4 and 5.

Rawat Memorial cricket: Friends Union beat Prince Club by 8 wickets and sailed into the semifinal of the first Anil Rawat memorial cricket tournament played at the Sapru Stadium on Thursday.
Before the match, SN Singh, president, Kanpur Cricket Association inaugurated the tournament. He was introduced with the players. KCA officials including Rahul Sapru, PS Negi, Parvez Ahmad, Rajesh Singh were present on this occasion.
