Indore: A fire that broke out on the rooftop of a hotel near Sarwate bus stand on Thursday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident, though a mobile tower, rooftop shed and stored scrap material were destroyed in the blaze.Fire officials said they received information around 9 am about a blaze in the tower section of Vaishno Hotel in Chhoti Gwaltoli area. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot and firefighters managed to bring the flames under control before they could spread to adjoining structures.The officials said that the fire gutted a shed installed on the hotel’s terrace, a mobile company’s tower equipment and old material kept on the rooftop. Around 2,000 litres of water were used during the firefighting operation.The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. An investigation is underway to determine what triggered the blaze.The incident caused concern among residents and businesses in the vicinity, as the hotel is located in one of the city’s busiest transit hubs. Fire officials said the prompt response helped prevent the flames from reaching nearby buildings and avert a potentially larger disaster in the densely populated area.
