19 illegal pumps seized

Indore: Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) teams on Tuesday seized 19 illegal booster pumps connected directly to Narmada water supply lines.Eight water pumps were seized from Koyala Bakhal area of Zone 12 (Ward 66), 4 pumps were confiscated from Naya Basera locality in Zone 9 (Ward 44) and 6 pumps were seized from Bajrangpura and Sugandha Nagar sectors under Zone 17 (Ward 18).“IMC also initiated penal actions against public water wastage and creation of unsanitary conditions by running water on public roads. The teams penalized 61 persons, recovering a cumulative fine of Rs 37,550,” commissioner Kshitij Singhal said.
