Advocate’s murder: 3 more detained; cops suspect contract killing
Hyderabad: Three more suspects, allegedly directly involved in the murder of advocate Khaza Moizuddin, were taken into custody on Tuesday. Special police teams have launched a manhunt to trace three other suspects who remain absconding. Hyderabad police sources said the murder prima facie appears to be a contract killing. So far, five persons have been detained in connection with the case. The three suspects in custody were identified as Abhijeet alias Nani, Vinay and Manideep, all private employees from the city. According to police sources, the trio, along with absconding accused Kishan Singh alias Pappu, were directly involved in the killing.Investigators said Kishan allegedly received a Rs 15 lakh offer from two suspects, including one identified as Munir, to eliminate the 63-year-old advocate. "Kishan subsequently offered Rs 10 lakh to Abhijeet, Vinay and Manideep to execute the murder plan," a police source said.Police suspect that a legal dispute related to land may have been the motive behind the killing. A key suspect, believed to have orchestrated the murder, is also reportedly in custody.
The Nampally police registered a murder case on Saturday based on a complaint lodged by advocate Mohammed Farhan, son of the deceased. Moizuddin was run over by unidentified assailants driving a Scorpio SUV at Shanti Nagar near Masab Tank.
