AHMEDABAD: Arvind Kejriwal's decision to contest Gujarat polls turned out to be a political misadventure as 128 AAP candidates lost their deposits with voters refusing to be enticed by freebies like electricity, education and pension.
However, the party got a toehold in the saffron fortress by winning five seats.
Bigger loss of face was that all top leaders, including AAP's chief ministerial face Isudan Gadhvi, were vanquished.
