CBI Frees UP Man In Suvendu Adhikari PA Murder Case; Raj Singh Alleges Torture, Encounter Threat
A dramatic twist has emerged in the murder case linked to the personal assistant of West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari. Raj Singh, a resident of Ballia in Uttar Pradesh who was arrested in connection with the case, has now been released after a CBI probe reportedly found him innocent.Speaking after his release, Raj Singh alleged that he was wrongly identified as another accused named Raj Kumar Singh. He claimed he was arrested while returning from Ayodhya with his mother and accused the police and Kolkata CID of torture, forced confession attempts, and even threatening him with an “encounter.”Raj Singh thanked the CBI for what he called a fair investigation and appealed to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to take action against the police team involved in his arrest.The case has now sparked a political and legal debate over wrongful arrests, custodial torture allegations, and investigative accountability.
