In the same interview, when asked how he developed a taste for Sushi despite being a desi food lover, he smiled and said, "Aur kuch tha hi nahi wahan pe khane ko." What is Sushi

It is a popular Japanese dish made mainly with vinegared rice, seafood, vegetables, and sometimes seaweed. It is also known for its layered presentation and unique flavours. It is mostly prepared with raw fish, cooked seafood, or vegetarian fillings. There are majorly four types of sushi. First is Nigiri, where small portions of rice are topped with fish or seafood. Next is Maki, where rice and fillings are rolled in seaweed and cut into pieces. Third is Sashimi, in this thin slices of raw fish are served without rice. And last is Temaki, where, cone-shaped hand rolls are filled with rice and vegetables or seafood. Sushi is traditionally served with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi. It is considered a healthy food because it contains protein, healthy fats, and nutrients from fish and vegetables. One of the main benefits of sushi is that it can be healthy and nutritious. Fish used in sushi is rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids, which support heart and brain health. Seaweed contains important minerals, while vegetables add fiber and vitamins. For the unversed, sushi has a long history that dates back centuries in Japan. It originally began as a method of preserving fish using fermented rice. Over time, it evolved into the modern sushi that people enjoy today. The dish became especially popular because of its balance of flavors, textures, and visual appeal.

What else Ayushmann loves to eat

As a desi eater, he enjoys ghar ka khaana which includes, Rajma Chawal, Kadhi Chawal, and Aloo Paratha. He is also a fan of Tandoori Chicken and Butter Chicken. And when in Lucknow, he prefers to have Rogan Josh, Biryani, Payaki Nihari, Sheermal, and Tokri Chaat.
