‘Two years, no proof’: Bhumana says TDP failed to prove TTD allegations
Former TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy
Tirupati: Former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy slammed the ruling TDP for continuing to hoodwink the people of the state through lies and deceit as it completes two years in office this month.Addressing a press conference in Tirupati on Sunday, Bhumana recalled that the TDP and Jana Sena had levelled several allegations over misadministration in the TTD during the YSRCP regime. “Though it has been two years since the TDP led govt came to power in the state, they are yet to prove even a single allegation, which makes it crystal clear that all their allegations were false and baseless”, Bhumana underlined. The former TTD chief accused the TDP govt of degenerating the sanctity of Tirumala temple, by dragging it into unwarranted controversies in a bid to target the YSRCP. “The TDP govt has not even spared the Tirumala temple for its political gains. However, all it’s lies have fallen flat as not a single allegation they made against the YSCRP has been proved”, Bhumana reiterated.Alleging that widespread irregularities and black-marketing has been reported in the issuance of VIP break Darshan and Srivani Darshan tickets ever since the TDP led management assumed office at Tirumala, the ex TTD chief asserted that enquiries will be ordered into these irregularities once the YSRCP returns to power.
