Vizianagaram: State MSMEs, rural poverty eradication and NRI empowerment Kondapalli Srinivas said that YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party leaders, who allegedly deceived lakhs of unemployed youth during their five-year rule, have no moral right to speak on DSC (District Selection Committee) recruitment of teachers.
The minister said the TDP has a strong track record of conducting competitive examinations in a transparent and efficient manner. “Chandrababu means DSC, and DSC means Chandrababu,” he remarked.
Kondapalli said that soon after assuming power, the coalition government issued a mega DSC notification for 16,000 posts as promised and completed the recruitment process transparently. He termed it “ridiculous” that YSRCP leaders were raising allegations about irregularities six to seven months after the appointments were completed.
He alleged that Jagan set a negative record as the only chief minister who failed to fill a single teacher post despite being in power for five years. He said YSRCP would be remembered for misleading unemployed youth with false promises.
Praising TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, the minister said he is synonymous with DSC recruitments and teacher appointments. He noted that Naidu holds a record of filling over 2 lakh teacher posts through nine DSCs.
Six DSCs were conducted in the undivided state between 1996 and 2003, and two more after bifurcation in 2014 and 2018.
The minister further alleged that several irregularities were reported in competitive examinations during the YSRCP regime, and added that the alleged failure of the Group-I examination has eroded the trust of unemployed youth in the party.
