Andhra Pradesh police initiate LOC against UK-based YouTuber couple in visa fraud case
Jagarlamudi Madhukar and his wife Anne Rama Nandana are accused of cheating several individuals by promising them jobs in the UK, visa renewals, and sponsorship opportunities
Vijayawada: A major fraud case involving a UK-based YouTuber couple has taken a fresh turn, with police initiating the process to issue a lookout circular (LOC) against Jagarlamudi Madhukar and his wife Anne Rama Nandana. The couple is accused of cheating several individuals by promising UK jobs, visa renewals, and sponsorship opportunities. The case, registered at Ibrahimpatnam police station in NTR district in Nov last year, has gained attention as more victims have come forward. Madhukar and Nandana, natives of Guntur who are now settled in the United Kingdom, are associated with popular YouTube channel 'Nandoo’s World’. They reportedly operated consultancy services under the name ‘Destiny Consultancy’ through offices in Guntur, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, and other locations.According to police records, Sivakranthi Kumar, a resident of Kothur village in NTR district, approached Madhukar for assistance in renewing his UK visa, obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) for his wife and securing employment opportunities abroad. Acting on Madhukar’s instructions, Sivakranthi reportedly paid Rs 15 lakh to Madhukar’s father, Mohan Rao, through bank transfers in 2023.However, the promised opportunities never materialised.
Investigators allege that a COS document later provided to the victim was found to be fake. When Sivakranthi contacted the owner of the UK-based company named in the document, he reportedly denied issuing the sponsorship and suggested that the letter may have been fabricated.Despite repeated requests for a refund, the complainant could recover only Rs 2 lakh. Based on his complaint, police booked Madhukar, Rama Nandana, and Mohan Rao under cheating charges. ACP Durga Rao said the process of issuing a LOC has begun and a request has been sent to the Bureau of Immigration. Police suspect the couple may have cheated around 20 people from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by offering UK visas and job opportunities, with the total fraud amount likely running into several crores of rupees. The investigation is continuing.
