Naidu to attend seafood export workshop in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will participate, along with Union ministers, in a two-day national workshop on seafood exports in the port city on Friday. The workshop will feature interactive sessions with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PMKSSY) and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) schemes, as well as stakeholders and start-ups from the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.Technical sessions on the second day will address issues such as value addition in seafood exports, sustainable labelling and certification, traceability systems, promotion of MSMEs, utilisation of inshore marine resources, cultivation of marine algae, ornamental fisheries, and pearl farming. The workshop aims to boost domestic seafood exports, enhance the global competitiveness of Indian products, and create new opportunities for fishers, farmers, exporters, and industry stakeholders.
