Leopard cub in Rajura run over by train

Chandrapur: A female leopard cub, aged around 3 months, was killed after being struck by a train on the Ballarshah–Kazipet down railway line in the Nalfadi forest in Rajura taluka on Tuesday night.Forest Department officials said the leopard's carcass was found around 8.15 pm in Compartment No. 179 of the forest range. Officials suspect that the cub accompanying the mother leopardess may have been struck by the train while crossing the railway line. A team of foresters rushed to the spot and sent the carcass for post-mortem. The veterinary report said the leopard suffered severe injuries in the train hit.
