Cops nab drug peddler, seize MD worth 15L

Nagpur: Ajni police arrested a 23-year-old for possessing significant quantity of MD powder during a raid at his home. On early Monday morning , acting on a tip, an Ajni police team held a raid at residence of Aditya Telgote (23) at Savitribai Phule Nagar, Gully No 6, Annabhau Sathe Marg, Ajni. During the search of his premises, police recovered 290 gm of MD powder hidden in a ziplock bag behind plywood pieces on his terrace. Two mobile phones were also seized during the raid. Total value of seized contraband is estimated at around 15 lakh. Police said Telgote was selling the drug to earn financial gains.A case was registered under Sec 8(a) and 22(a) of the NDPS Act by Ajni police. He was arrested and further probe is underway.
