P Akash takes charge as Madurai collector

Madurai: P Akash assumed charge as the new district collector of Madurai on Monday.Akash previously served as additional collector in Dharmapuri district, sub-collector of Dindigul division, and Cheranmahadevi division in Tirunelveli district. He also held the position of zonal deputy commissioner in Greater Chennai Corporation and served as the executive director of Chennai (North) Water Supply and Sewerage Board. Additionally, he served as the district collector of Tenkasi, Nagapattinam, joint secretary in the department of labor welfare and skill development, and executive director of the State Industries Promotion Corporation.The outgoing collector K J Praveen Kumar took charge as the collector of Nagapattinam district.
