One held in connection with blast at house

Kozhikode: Police have arrested one person in connection with the explosion at a house at Kurikkathoor near Kunnamangalam allegedly while illegally manufacturing firecrackers which had claimed two lives on Saturday night. The arrested has been identified as Vishnu PM, 28, of Padinjare Kozhimel, Peringolam, near Kunnamangalam, who had rented the house where the illegal firecracker manufacturing was taking place.Vishnu, who had sustained injuries in the blast was admitted to the Kozhikode Govt Medical College Hospital and was taken to custody and his arrest was recorded by Kunnamangalam police on Sunday morning. Two persons Rahul PM, 27, of Puthoiyottu Methal, Mundikkal Thazam and Rahul, 27 of Mandathol Parambil, Parammal near Ramanattukara were killed in the explosion. Police had found large quantities of firecrackers in the house and palm leaf used for manufacturing the firecrackers.Vishnu's wife Simi had also sustained injuries in the explosion.
