He also spoke about Yash’s portrayal of Ravana, highlighting the actor’s star power and commanding screen presence, which he believes make him ideal for such a formidable character. The actor can be heard saying in this viral clip, "Yash comes with the stardom he has and for Raavan you need someone who has that aura and screen presence which he has. His interpretation of Raavan is different from anything we've seen so that's something the audience will love to see. We got lucky with the cast, whoever has come in, cast member or crew member be it Sunny Deol as Hanuman or Ravi Dubey playing Laxman. They are fantastic actors and fantastic stars and we really needed the support system of everyone."
The teaser itself offers only a brief and slightly obscured glimpse of Sai Pallavi as Sita, while giving viewers a grand visual of Ravana’s Pushpak Vimana, with Yash seen approaching the celestial aircraft in a striking sequence. Fans have already been intrigued by the previously released first look of Ram, adding to the excitement. Notably, the teaser was officially launched in India on April 2, aligning with the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.Mounted on a grand scale, Ramayana has been shot in the IMAX format and is planned as a two-part cinematic event. The first installment is set to release during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027. Backed by producer Namit Malhotra, the film boasts an ensemble cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, and Yash.
