Security measures in place for Ganga Mela
Kanpur: Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vipin Tada conducted a spot inspection on Saturday to assess security and arrangements for the March 10 Ganga Mela procession, starting from Hatiya in the Thana Mulganj area under the East Zone.During the inspection, a review was carried out of the procession route, traffic management, route diversion, barricading, crowd control, Sarsaiya Ghat arrangements, and other security measures. Necessary directions were given to the officers present to ensure the event was conducted in a safe and orderly manner.

Deputy commissioner of police East, Satyajeet Gupta, Deputy commissioner of police traffic, Ravindra Kumar, additional deputy commissioner of police East, Anjali Vishwakarma, along with concerned administrative and police officers with police force, were present at the spot.Officers were directed to ensure all necessary arrangements for security, traffic management, and maintenance of law and order during the procession so that the event could be concluded safely and peacefully.
