Kanpur: Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Tuesday said that the
BJP’s “One District One Medical College” across
Uttar Pradesh has replaced the
Samajwadi Party regime’s “One District One Mafia Raj”.
Addressing the concluding session of a party workers’ training workshop at the BJP’s Hamirpur unit, he said 81 medical colleges in the state were functioning at full capacity, thanks to Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the world’s largest scheme, while there was a time in UP when people had to sell houses and land for treatment of serious illnesses.
He said more than 5.5 crore Ayushman cards were issued in the state, extending to people the benefit of free treatment.
He said all eligible persons from every section of the society has benefited through PM Suraksha Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, PM Matru Vandana Yojana and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
He said during Congress govt, recommendation of an MLA or MP was required to obtain a gas connection, but today, Prime Minister has benefited mothers in rural areas with Ujjwala scheme.
Pathak said Swachh Bharat Mission was Mahatma Gandhi’s slogan and alleged Congress disregarded Gandhi ji’s principles. He said through the housing scheme, permanent roof had been provided to the poor. “This scheme will continue till even one person remains deprived of housing,” he said.
