One dead, 7 injured as vehicle overturns

Koppal: One person died, and seven others were injured after a passenger vehicle overturned following a tyre burst on a National Highway near Bahaddur Bandi village in Koppal taluk on Saturday.Police said the vehicle was carrying devotees from Dharwad to Anjanadri. The driver lost control of the vehicle after its tyre burst, and the vehicle overturned. One occupant of the vehicle died on the spot. Two passengers sustained serious injuries, while five others suffered minor injuries.Koppal rural police reached the spot and shifted the injured to the district hospital. Police said all the injured are undergoing treatment and responding well.A case has been registered at the Koppal rural police station, and further investigation is on.
