Four-year-old boy dies after fridge falls on him in Dharmapuri

Dharmapuri: A four-year-old boy died in a freak accident, after a refrigerator toppled and fell on him at his home near Karimangalam in Dharmapuri district on Monday.The deceased has been identified as C Sridhar, son of Chinnasamy and Gokila, of Thavankottai village near Karimangalam."Sridhar was playing inside the house when the heavy appliance, which had been placed on an uneven surface, suddenly toppled and fell on the child, crushing him," said a police officer from Karimangalam station. The boy's parents rushed him to a nearby govt hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.Karimangalam police have registered a case and initiated an inquiry.
