COIMBATORE: In a display of creativity and entrepreneurship, more than 50 children residing in a private apartment complex near Peelamedu here came together on Sunday evening to have a firsthand experience of running a business.The residential complex, which houses 190 flats, became a bustling marketplace on Sunday evening. With guidance and assistance of their parents, the children prepared a diverse menu of homemade culinary delights, including biryani, momos, brownies, cookies and fresh juices, alongside creative arts and crafts.The apartment's community hall was transformed into a vibrant exhibition space featuring 45 uniquely curated stalls. Residents stepped out in large numbers to support the young shopkeepers, buying the fresh treats and handmade items.It not only provided the neighbourhood with delicious homemade food but also offered the children a practical lesson in teamwork, financial literacy and marketing. Parents and residents lauded the initiative, calling it an inspiring example of how young minds can constructively channel their spare time into an educational and collaborative community event.
