Stanford-Elsevier survey names over 100 scientists from Odisha in global top 2% list

Bhubaneswar: More than 100 scientists from Odisha were recognised in the recent Stanford-Elsevier survey, ranking among the top 2% of scientists worldwide. These distinguished individuals are affiliated with institutions such as NIT Rourkela, IIT Bhubaneswar, NISER Bhubaneswar, Fakir Mohan University in Balasore, ILS Bhubaneswar.This year, NIT Rourkela saw 35 of its scientists, including 33 faculty members and two PhD scholars, earn a place among the world’s most cited scientists. The ranking is divided into two categories — career-long impact and single-year impact for the year 2024.The list also includes 10 scientists each from IIT Bhubaneswar and NISER Bhubaneswar, while Fakir Mohan University is represented by three faculty members.
