Sports kits distributed in 34k govt schools

Gandhinagar: Sports kits have been provided to more than 32,000 govt schools with the aim of integrating sports into the mainstream of education, the govt said on Tuesday. An official release stated that kits contain equipment for indoor games like carrom boards, chess sets, and outdoor games such as cricket bats, tennis balls, footballs, volleyballs, handballs and badminton sets, as well as athletics and fitness equipment like javelins, discus, shot put, hurdle sets and skipping ropes.
