India's Zorawar Tank Can Fire Missiles, Swims Rivers, Fly By C-17, And Take On China In Galwan

India's DRDO completed development trials of the Zorawar light tank and began user trials in September 2025 — and the timing could not be more deliberate. The Zorawar tank project emerged from a critical operational requirement identified following the May 2020 Galwan face-off, where China's lightweight tanks demonstrated superior agility compared to India's heavier T-90s and T-72s. Developed in just 19 months and tested in Ladakh above 4,200 metres, Zorawar represents a major leap in India's defence capabilities. But can it truly match or outperform China's Type-15?
