NATO Enters Ukraine War? Putin Fumes After Claims Kyiv Used Latvia To Strike Russian Cities

Is the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) allowing Ukraine to use its member states' land to carry out drone attacks on Russia? The Russian intelligence agency SVR in a report alleged that NATO member Latvia may have granted Kyiv permission to use its territory for potential UAV operations aimed at Russia, raising fears of a dangerous escalation involving the Baltic region and NATO. The allegations surfaced as Ukrainian drone strikes increasingly target Russian oil facilities and infrastructure deep inside Russian territory. Moscow warned that NATO membership would not shield those allegedly involved in facilitating attacks against Russia. Riga is witnessing political turmoil after its prime minister Evika Silina was forced to resign after coalition partner Progressives Party withdrew support from her government. Her resignation came after Latvia’s Defense Minister Andris Sprūds, from the Progressives Party, was forced to resign last week over the government’s handling of multiple incidents involving stray drones suspected to be from Ukraine crossing into Latvian territory.
