Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is an Indian politician and the 15th Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. He was born on March 27, 1964, in Nadun, Hamirpur.

He was first elected to the State Legislative Assembly in 2003; re-elected in December 2007 and December 2017; Chief Whip, Congress Legislature Party, 2007-2012; and Member, Business Advisory Committee, 2018-2022, Library, Research & Reference Committee, 2019-2022, and Public Undertakings & Privileges Committees, 2018-2022.

Sukhu joined the student arm of the Indian National Congress, the National Student Union of India (NSUI) during his college days. Sukhvinder was the president of the state Youth Congress from 1998 to 2008.

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu took oath as the 15th Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh on December 11, 2022.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur sukhvinder singh sukhu has congratulated the state on securing the sixth position in the country in providing quality school education, as per the Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2.0 report released by the Ministry of Education.
