Left-arm spinner hopes for another return to TN Ranji squad

Left-arm spinner DT Chandrasekar shone with figures of 7 for 58 as Jolly Rovers drew their TNCA first division clash against India Pistons.

Grand Slam scored a 19-run victory over Vijay CC in their TNCA Group B first-division league clash here on Monday. Grand Slam, who had a slender lead of 16 in their first innings, made 188 in their second essay.

Defending champions Jolly Rovers and Vijay CC made it to the final of the TNCA first division league on Thursday.

Himanshu Rana’s unbeaten 138 took India Pistons to 220 for 2 before rain halted play in their TNCA first division clash against Globe Trotters here on Sunday. Rajagopal (104) and Sanvir (116*) helped India Pistons end on 285/5 from their quota of 50 overs. In reply, Young Stars rode an unbeaten 100 from 88 deliveries by skipper Adithya Ganesh to finish on 285/7.

Left-arm spinner Rahil Shah's 5 for 54 helped TNCA President's XI dismiss Assam for 176 on Day 1 of their Kalpathi AGS Buchi Babu clash at Pachaiyappa's ground on Friday. Rahil was well-supported by teammate Malolan Rangarajan who returned with figures of 3 for 40.

S Radhakrishnan hit an unbeaten 204 for Globe Trotters in their drawn TNCA Elite first division clash against Nelson SC at Pachaiyappa's College ground. This was Radhakrishnan's maiden double century and the 266-ball knock contained 29 fours.

Jyotsnil Singh's unbeaten 165 headlined the day for Baroda as they registered a six-wicket win over TNCA XI in their Buchi Babu all-India invitational tournament clash at the CPT-IP (Turf) ground here on Sunday.

Tamil Nadu have made two changes to their squad for the must-win final round contest against Baroda at the Reliance Cricket Stadium, Vadodara, starting November 25.

Left-arm spinner Rajwinder Singh (5 for 23) led the show with the ball as India Pistons defeated CromBest by an innings and 37 runs on Day 2 of their TNCA first division clash on Sunday.

R Vimal Khumar scored an unbeaten 208 while Vignesh S Iyer hit 134 to help Alwarpet pile up 414 for 2 against MCC in the TNCA First Division League on Monday. Atheeq ur Rehman (62) also contributed well for Alwarpet.

Jolly Rovers have always been a force to reckon with for years now. The champion team will be looking to seal the deal in their Tamil Nadu Cricket Association First Division 'Plate' championship match against Alwarpet CC.

Washington Sundar (7 for 51) shone with the ball as he helped Globe Trotters bowl out TI Cycles for 137 in their TNCA First Division league clash here on Wednesday.
