Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick may have teased GTA 6 trailer 3 release date; says: ‘So the next few weeks…’
Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 fans waiting for the third trailer of the highly anticipated game may have to wait a little longer. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has suggested that GTA 6 developer Rockstar Games’ marketing campaign for the title is unlikely to begin before the official start of summer. His comments appear to push back against recent rumours claiming a new trailer could arrive before the end of May.Speaking to Variety, Zelnick said Rockstar plans to begin marketing GTA 6 during the summer period, which officially starts in late June. “So the next few weeks I don’t think it’ll be summertime yet, but when it’s summertime, Rockstar expects to start marketing ‘GTA 6,’” he said. Some fans are viewing the statement as an indication that any new promotional material, including a possible third trailer, is unlikely to arrive before June 21. However, Rockstar has not confirmed when the next trailer will be released. The comments also suggest that GTA 6 may not feature at upcoming gaming events in the near term, despite speculation surrounding presentations such as Summer Game Fest and other showcases.

Take Two makes no pricing announcement during the earnings call

Zelnick also dismissed expectations that Take-Two would announce the game’s pricing during its latest earnings release. “No,” Zelnick told Variety when asked if GTA 6 pricing details would be revealed alongside the company’s quarterly earnings.
“We never make marketing announcements in our analyst calls. Never ever ever,” he added. The executive also addressed rumours surrounding pre-orders, pricing and potential delays. “I think reiterating November 19 as launch day today is probably a positive. I think we’ve been really clear that we’re releasing the title on November 19.”Take-Two has maintained that GTA 6 remains scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC version has not been announced. During the earnings discussion, Zelnick explained how Take-Two prepares financial forecasts even though it does not publicly confirm the game’s price.“So, whenever we put together our guidance, obviously based on our expectations regarding our pipeline, release schedule and pricing, and sometimes our expectations cannot be realized in the fullness of time, that could be because the title is delayed, or pricing changes, or unit sales expectations change. But yes, of course, when we build our model, which is used to create guidance, it does have full assumptions in it. Even if we made assumptions, that doesn’t mean that they are set in stone.” he explained.
