The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 is set to be another thrilling chapter in India’s premier women’s T20 competition, running from January 9 to February 5, 2026.
The fourth edition features five teams: Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz.
While the tournament is still unfolding, past statistical benchmarks continue to define expectations for 2026.
The record for the highest team total in WPL history was set by UP Warriorz, who scored a massive 225/5 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2025 season.
Over the first three seasons, more than a handful of sides have breached the 200-run mark, showcasing the growing firepower in women’s T20 cricket.
Individual achievements in previous WPL campaigns also set the bar for 2026.
Past Orange Cap winners include big names like Nat Sciver-Brunt, who dominated the 2025 scoring charts. With squads finalised after a high-profile mega auction late in 2025, teams arrive in the new season with strengthened batting and bowling units ready to rewrite statistical records again.
Stay tuned as the season progresses, fresh highs in runs, wickets and team totals are expected to emerge as the league race heats up.
