Royal Challengers Bengaluru have already sealed the top spot and a direct place in the final after six wins from eight matches. Gujarat Giants claimed a thrilling 11-run victory over Mumbai Indians to secure their spot in the Eliminator, ending an eight-match losing streak against the defending champions. The battle for the remaining playoff berth will be decided when Delhi Capitals face UP Warriorz on 1 February, with the winner advancing to challenge Gujarat Giants in the Eliminator on 3 February.
WPL 2026 will feature five teams- Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz — competing in a double round-robin format. Each team will play eight league matches, with two points for a win. The top team will qualify directly for the final, while the second and third teams will contest the Eliminator. The fourth and fifth teams will be knocked out at the end of the league stage.
