The West Indies managed to navigate the first hour without significant damage, but their inability to keep the scoreboard moving is something they’ll need to address after Lunch. Braithwaite soaked up plenty of deliveries in an effort to wear down the pacers but eventually fell shortly after the first hour. Carty couldn’t make an impact either. The silver lining for the hosts was Mikyle Louis, who started cautiously but became more proactive once he settled in.
