The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be held in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5, 2026, marking the biggest edition of the tournament so far. For the first time, 12 teams will compete in the Women’s T20 World Cup, with 33 matches scheduled across iconic venues including Lord’s, The Oval, Edgbaston and Old Trafford.
Defending champions New Zealand women's national cricket team will look to retain their title against leading contenders including India women's national cricket team, Australia women's national cricket team, England women's national cricket team and South Africa women's national cricket team. Stars such as Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, Ellyse Perry, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Amelia Kerr are expected to headline the tournament.
The 2026 edition will feature two groups of six teams each, with the top two teams from every group advancing to the semi-finals. One of the marquee fixtures of the tournament will see India face Pakistan at Edgbaston on June 14.
Australia remain the most successful team in Women’s T20 World Cup history with six titles, while England, West Indies and New Zealand have won the trophy once each.
