Shaun Pollock says the sun is out and it is a lot warmer than it was in Hobart. States the square bundaries are not that big but the boundaries down the ground are really big. Carlos Brathwaite says the wicket is slightly damp and it seems a touch dry but it should be a good one to bat on and we should get a high score.
GOOD NEWS! The rain has now stopped completely and the covers are coming off. Also, the players are out there warming up. Let us hope we have no more weather interventions and we get a whole game of cricket.
That is it from this game then! Another game follows though and it is a clash between South Africa and Zimbabwe. That game was scheduled to begin at 1330 IST (0800 GMT) but due to the rain delay, there might just a delay. Do join us for the build up for that game too. Until next time, take care and goodbye!

... TIME FOR THE PRESENTATION ...
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh crawled their way to a score which we felt was under-par. Thanks to Afif Hossain's effort they got themselves to 144 but that proved to be enough as their bowlers were brilliant.
Netherlands will be very disappointed with their effort! They bowled so well but were equally poor with the bat. The run outs just did not help their cause. Their innings was just about one man, Colin. He seemed like he was batting on a different surface as he was scoring freely. He though kept losing partners. Also, there were far too many dots from the Dutch batters and in the end, the margin of defeat was just the 9. Maybe had they rotated strike better, maybe had someone given better support to Colin Ackermann, the result could have well been different. Nevertheless, they did well to come this close after being 4 down for 15.
A superb bowling effort from Bangladesh! We really felt they were 15 to 20 runs short at the end of the first innings but their bowlers have risen to the occasion and they have begun their campaign with a win. It was Taskin who wrecked havoc earlier on as he got two in the very first over. Nerves then got to the Dutch as we saw two run outs in one over and that completely pushed them onto the back foot. The bowlers to follow, like Shakib, Hasan Mahmud were also brilliant. It was a combined bowling effort from Bangladesh but Taskin was easily the pick.
OUT! TAKEN! Soumya Sarkar strikes on the last ball of the game! On middle, this is heaved towards deep mid-wicket. Das takes it there. BANGLADESH WIN BY 9 RUNS!
Two and Bangladesh have sealed the deal! 10 needed now in one ball. A full ball on off, it is lofted down towards long on. It does not carry and two is taken. Just a legal deliery needed now.
SIX! BANG! Paul van Meekeren keeping his side in it. Two more of these is what they want. A gift, a full toss on the pads, this is whipped over the square leg fence for a biggie.
WIDE! There is an extra! Which means Netherlands do have a chance now! Shorter and outside off, very short and very wide actually. Paul van Meekeren looks to cut but misses.
Just the one! Bangladesh can't lose now if Sarkar bowls three legal deliveries. On middle, a full toss, it is hit through mid-wicket for one.
Hasan Mahmud has done well! On off, this is lofted over cover. Long off runs to his left, slides and keeps it down to two.
Lands safe! Yet again, a swing, it goes off the toe-end and lands safe in the mid-wicket region. Two taken.
Swing and a miss! A slower one outside off. Paul van Meekeren swings but misses.
WIDE! Another wide. This too is well outside off. The batter fails to reach it. Wided.
This is very, very wide outside off. The keeper fails to take it too and a run is taken.
Fred Klaassen now moves across and tries to sweep this delivery well outside off. The ball dips and it sneaks under the bat.

Around off, this is guided towards point for one.
FOUR! So, so close to the fifer! Instead it has gone for a boundary! A yorker on middle, Paul van Meekeren somehow gets his bat down in time, it goes off the inside edge and down to the fine leg fence.
OUT! TAKEN! That probably ends any kind of hope Dutch had of chasing this down. A really good innings from Colin Ackermann but it will probably go down in vain. Taskin has his 4th. Outstanding bowling from him. Goes short again, a really effort ball. Colin Ackermann looks to pull but the ball gets big on him. IT goes off the top edge. Both, deep mid-wicket and deep square leg converge for it. The former takes it. Mosaddek Hossain is the fielder. Can Taskin get a fifer? He has a ball to go.
FOUR! Up and over! Colin Ackermann is not going down easily. He is still giving some hopes to the Dutch fans! This is short and on middle, he drags the pull over mid on and it races away.
NOT OUT! The bat was late in coming down but Fred Klaassen was in! On off, this is pushed towards cover. They go for one. The fielder hits the stumps at the bowler's end. It is taken upstairs but the batter is in.
OUT! TAKEN THIS TIME! Boundary and out for Shariz Ahmad! This is short and outside off, Shariz Ahmad looks to repeat what he did on the last ball as he tries to cut again but this bounces at a better height. It goes off the top edge down towards third man. Hasan Mahmud takes a nice catch.
FOUR! Cut away! A boundary to begin the over. Can they make this a huge over now? They need one, probably a 20-run over. This is shorter and outside off, Shariz Ahmad cuts it over point and it runs away to the fence.
Really nicely bowled! Colin Ackermann makes room. This is slower and Shakib follows him. Colin swings but misses.
On the pads, Shariz sweeps but to short fine leg. Only one.
Dots will only build pressure! Shorter and on off, this is slapped but to covers.
WIDE! Down the leg side. Shariz Ahmad looks to sweep but misses. Wided.
SIngles and doubles won't help! They need boundaries! Shorter and outside off, this is hit over cover for two.
Shorter and outside off, this is chopped towards cover for one.
That is a poor throw! Tossed up on off, Shariz Ahmad looks to drive, it goes off the outside edge towards short third man. They go for one. The throw is a wild one at the keeper. Easy run in the end.
A dot to end which means Colin Ackermann will be off strike. A yorker on off, this is jammed back to the bowler.
FOUR! Slammed away. Colin Ackermann seems to be batting on a different wicket here. Steps out, makes room and slams this short ball through covers for a boundary.
Gets the single this time and brings Colin Ackermann on strike! Outside off, Ahmad slashes, it goes off the outside edge down to third man for one.
Another dot! On off, this is guided to point.
OUT! TAKEN! Colin Ackermann continues to lose partners! Hasan Mahmud has another one. This is yet another good short ball from him. He really gets the batters hurried. Logan van Beek looks to pull but this goes off the top edge and down the throat of fine leg. Taskin Ahmed takes an easy catch.
Angled into middle, this one skids through. Colin looks to flick but gets an inside edge onto the pads. It rolls towards point for one.
Another single to end but a good over for the Dutch! On the pads, this is clipped through mid-wicket for one.
Just the single from the Free Hit! Fuller and on middle, Logan van Beek swings, it goes off the top edge towards the bowler who takes it. Only a single.
That is a very high full toss, Colin Ackermann looks to swing but it goes off the top edge towards square leg for one. No ball signaled, Free Hit coming up.
Two! Fuller and on middle, this is hit down to long on for a couple. Fifty for Colin Ackermann! He has fought a lone battle. Can he pull a rabbit out of the hat and take his side over the line?
A huge appeal from the keeper but not sure why. On middle, Logan van Beek looks to play the reverse sweep, it hits the glove and goes towards point for one.
Angled into the pads, this is worked through square leg for one.
SiX! A lot more of these needed! This is short and on middle, Colin swivels and pulls it well over the square leg fence.
On off, this is pushed to cover.
WEll, the rain seems to have stopped. The covers are coming off and the players along with the umpires are also making their way out. The delay was not a long one.
The rain is heavy now and the umpires have called for the covers! The players make their way off the field. Bangladesh really won't mind this as Netherlands are way behind the DLS par score at the moment. Let us hope though the rain passes away and we get a full game.
That is hit nicely but to the fielder! On off, this is pushed to mid off.
OUT! TIMBER! The chance which went abegging does not cost a lot! You miss, I hit! On middle, Pringle swings across the line but misses and the stumps are hit.
Good length and on off, Tim Pringle slaps it to mid off.
DROPPED! That should have been taken! It was straight at the fielder! Shorter and outside off, Tim Pringle looks to cut but does so straight towards point. The fielder there spills it.
That is sharp! Really good pace! A bumper on the body, it is evaded.
SIX! Well over the fence! That is a strong shot and a welcome biggie! Colin Ackermann probably holds the key. He moves into the 40s. Steps out and gets to the pitch of it. Nails it over the long off fence for a biggie. Good way to end the over for the Dutch. They need to keep going.
Angled into the pads, this is worked through mid-wicket for one.
On off, defended.
OUT! TAKEN! Straight to the fielder! Scott Edwards falls and this could well be a blessing in disguise for the Dutch! He just could not get going and was batting at a strike rate of below 70. He tried to force the issue here. Brings out the reverse sweep. Very smart from Shakib. He slows it up and bowls it on middle. Edwards fails to get the power behind and hits it straight to the fielder at point. Hasan Mahmud takes it.
Some innovation! On off, Scott Edwards plays the reverse sweep, he hits it fine on the off side and two is taken.
Angled into the pads, this is worked through square leg for one.
A single to end! On off, this is pushed through covers for one.
Need to do more than singles here! This is short and on the body, Scott Edwards pulls it down to fine leg for one.

On middle, this is pushed down to long on for one.
Good length and on off, Colin Ackermann defends it onto the ground.
FOUR! That is very nicely played! Shorter and around off, Colin Ackermann lets the ball come to him. He waits and then guides it past point for a boundary.
That is a beauty! Another one on a length and around off, this pitches and moves away again. Beaten.
Another dot! These dots will just keep building the pressure. Length and on off, this lands and moves away. It is guided to point.
FOUR! EDGY! Netherlands won't mind how they come as long as they do! Shorter and outside off, Scott Edwards slashes at it, this flies off the outside edge and down to the third man fence.
Yet another dot! On a length and around off, blocked.
