The 2025 Asia Cup cricket tournament promises to be a major spectacle in the UAE, running from September 9 to 28. This 17th edition will feature eight teams: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Hong Kong. Matches will be played in the T20 format, centered across Dubai and Abu Dhabi — the former hosting 11 matches, including the grand final, and the latter eight games.

India, the defending champions, are a highlighted presence in Group A alongside traditional rivals Pakistan, UAE, and Oman. Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.

The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash is scheduled for September 14 in Dubai, with the prospect of further meetings between these fierce competitors should both progress to the Super Four and possibly the final itself.

The Asia Cup is organised by the Asian Cricket Council and is renowned for bringing together the continent’s best talents, often producing high drama and memorable moments.
