A fresh warning from Iran’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is intensifying fears of further escalation in the Middle East amid soaring tensions with the United States and Israel. In a strongly worded statement, the Intelligence Organization of the IRGC declared that Iran’s threats and military warnings “must be taken seriously,” arguing that repeated confrontations with the U.S. and its allies have shattered assumptions in Washington about conducting a quick and easy military campaign against Tehran. The IRGC referenced what it described as the “fruitless attacks” of June 13, 2025, and February 28, 2026 — apparent references to previous U.S.-Israeli military operations targeting Iranian-linked sites and infrastructure. The statement also pointed to the reported collapse of the naval blockade on April 12 as evidence, in Tehran’s view, that Western pressure campaigns against Iran have failed.
