Mohan. K of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won the Panruti constituency with a margin of 10663 votes. He garnered 78398 votes, while Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi candidate Abdur Rahman. A.R came second with 67735 votes.

AIADMK has fielded K. Mohan from the Panruti Assembly constituency for the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026, where he took on TVK candidate M. Manikandan and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi candidate Abdur Rahman in the electoral contest.
Panruti is a key constituency in Cuddalore district, famous for its jackfruit and cashew trade.
It has been a site of intense competition between the PMK,
DMK, and AIADMK.
In the 2021 Assembly elections, T. Velmurugan (contesting as part of the DMK alliance under the TVK banner) won the seat with 93,801 votes, defeating AIADMK’s R. Rajendran, who secured 89,104 votes. The margin of victory was 4,697 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, AIADMK’s Sathya Panneerselvam won the seat with 72,353 votes, defeating DMK’s Ponkumar, who received 69,225 votes. The margin of victory was 3,128 votes.
In the 2011 Assembly elections, DMDK’s P. Sivakozhundu won the seat with 82,187 votes, defeating DMK candidate Saba Rajendran, who secured 71,471 votes. The margin of victory stood at 10,716 votes.
